Beijing No.55 High School was founded in 1954. It’s the first public school in Beijing to receive foreign students since 1975. Christian is an 8-grade student of the international section of Beijing No.55 High School. He is going to the curling team training ground today.
北京市第五十五中学成立于1954年。1975年，五十五中成为北京第一所招收外籍学生的公立中学。Christian就是五十五中国际部8年级的一名学生，他今天就要去学校的冰壶队训练场地体验一下。
It was awarded the title of the national level demonstration school for winter sports in 2018. Currently training courses of skiing and curling are included in the curriculum, with more than 800 students in grades 7,8,10 and 11 enrolled. Each week students have the opportunity to learn and practice curling on the ice rink.
2018年，五十五中被授予了国家级冰雪特色校的称号，滑雪、冰壶等冰雪运动训练被列入了学校的课程，覆盖了7、8、10和11年级的八百多名学生。每周学生们都有机会在冰场感受冰壶的魅力。
Curling is called "chess on the ice". On the ice, Christian learned the basic movement essentials of pole skating from his teammates. It turned out that curling was not as easy as he had expected. "Curling is so heavy, it's hard to push! It is also difficult to slide on the ice“.
冰壶被称为“冰上国际象棋”，在冰面上， Christian向队员们学习了撑杆滑行的基本动作要领，原来冰壶并没有他想象中那么容易。“冰壶非常重，推动它很困难！在冰面上滑行也很难”。
As a national level demonstration school for winter sports，also a national level demonstration school for Olympic education，Beijing No. 55 High School has been constantly encouraging students to participate in winter sports and learn relevant knowledge and promoting Olympic spirit with actions. What the students learn from sports especially curling, such as self-discipline, strength will be reflected in the study and life
作为国家级的冰雪特色校以及国家级的奥林匹克教育特色校，五十五中学一直坚持让学生体验冰雪、传授冰雪知识，用实际行动来践行奥林匹克精神。引导学生把从体育，尤其是冰壶运动里面学习到自觉、守纪、顽强的意志品质体现在学习生活中。
